intake system and fuel-mixture generation

The intake system consists of the fine tuned components air box, throttle body/carburetor and inlet maifold.

 

Klaus air box

 

 

                                       

The Klaus air box represents the third step of evolution and allows silent every day driving with over 150 Kw. Once again the new modell is better than before!

  • The cover can be removed within seconds.

  • Upgrade of the forerunner modell with the latest advanced air box top cover is possible.

  • The air collectors are now available in magnesium.
                                       

 

 

                                       

  • The Klaus air cleaner (sport edition) with cast aluminium bottom and top can be used as a well-priced alternative instead of the Klaus air box. The stable bottom parts have got molded in air funnels and seal smoothly against the carburetor top. Squeezing of the filter is prevented by the spacer inside of the air cleaner.

                                       

  • The Klaus throttle bodies are made of a wear resistent aluminum cast alloy and can be used instead of Weber IDF carburetors. The throttle bodies can be assembled with VW or Bosch potentiometers. Delivery with fuel line, fuel hose fittings, throttles and throttle levers. Available in 40mm Ø und 48mm Ø.
                                       

  • We deliver carburetor of types: 40 IDF 70, 44 IDF 71, 48 IDF 6/7.

                                       

  • The Klaus inlet manifolds are CNC machined and guaranty a smooth transition from manifold to carburetor/throtlle body. The shape ensures that the ensential bow is placed completely in the manifold. Further the suction channel meets the cylinder head's intake port without changing it's angle, which ensures free flow.
                                       

  • In it's 20 years of production the Klaus throttle control has been sold  far over 1000 times. (picture also shows the additional parts: carburetor decoupling arrangement for idle running, strain relief for the throttle control cable and throttle return spring with holder - everything available as single parts).
